Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Idaho

Probate proceedings of an estate

My grandfather had an estate left for his children. My mother just passed away which leaves my brother and I to now having responsibilities for her share. She was unemployed, had medicare(?not sure if that is what it is called in ID) but had a short stay in a hospital prior to her death. The lawyer just sent us a letter stating he recieved a bill from the hospital, and is reluctant to pay since other bills may be submitted. He would like to proceed with probate proceedings. What does all of this mean? I don't want this to be drug on for much longer, I would like to get it over with.

Re: Probate proceedings of an estate

you should consult an attorney to obtain a second opinion as to whether or not probate is necessary or advisable. your question does not contain sufficient details and a copy of any will or trust needs to be reviewed.
