Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

My son's mother and I used to live in DuPage county. She originated custod and child support in that county. She now lives in Kane county and is threatening me to take me back to court in Kane county. Is this possible and is there any way I can fight it?

The case first needs to be brought in DuPage County since that county has jurisdiction over the case. She can ask that it be transfered to Kane County but if you still live in Kane, she will not likely win on the transfer of jurisdiction issue. If you want to fight it you need to show up in court the first time that it is up to tell the Judge that the case belongs in DuPage.
