Legal Question in Disability Law in Illinois
Discrimination
I was working for 7 months with a company and I had received a raise and an excellent review. I was terminated 2 weeks later after there was an assult occured onmy way to work & police had to be involved. I had to answer to my boss which was my involvement in the AA program for 16 years, and I made everyone uncompfortable and I was ridaculed and I was told I will always be a drunk, and they will not have me there causing problems. To sum it up, I got a raise and great review the next week I was fired after this info was out. My termination letter stated the reason for termination was completely false and shocking. Do I file seperate claims or do I file one with all of the violations they broke? Would I ever receive a settlement for any of this or is it a waste of time and look for another job....They also denied me unemploymet. I did file on claim with the EEOC and IDHS.

Re: Discrimination
Hello. I think you should file a claim covering all of the incidents involved. However, you should have an attorney at this time. It is very difficult to represent yourself regardless of the case. Will be happy to discuss this further and in more detail.
