Legal Question in Disability Law in Illinois
Retail tips and tricks
my supervisor went on an unexpected vacation and i knew i would be fired while he was gone because it was more difficult for him to fire me as i had reported him for harassment so they had security watching me after work my brother came to pick me up I shopped in the store and did not have enough money on me for the total sum so my brother gave me the balance to pay for it. Three days later they fired me before my supervisor came back from vacation. They called me into the security room photographed me and said I was fired for discount card abuse for letting another person use my discount card (Very creative on their part) that was not true. I used my discount card and they said they had me on film I asked to see it but They would not. Nothing they said I did was true 'i know I was there.'

It sounds like you may have a valid claim for retaliatory discharge. You reported a violation of your rights and within a short period of time were fired for a trumped up charge.
An employer can fire you for any reason, but not if it is attempting to mask retaliation for reporting of a civil rights violation.
Immediately go to your state civil rights enforcement agency and/or EEOC to file a claim. Give them as much information about the retaliation as possible. They will do a (cursory) investigation and it they find that they can't find enough evidence to support your claim, the case is too small, or they don't have time to do it, they will send you a "Notice of Right to Sue."
That letter is very important: it gives you 90 days to bring a case in state/federal court for wrongful discriminatory termination based on your original claim of harassment (assuming it was for a protected reason such as ethnicity, gender, age or disability). TGhe deadline is absolute, if you miss getting into court on time, you will have no way to pursue your claim.
