Legal Question in Administrative Law in Illinois
Lat name for Baby with Married Parents with Different Names
My husband and I have different last names. I kept my maiden name. In Illinois, can we choose to give the baby my maiden name?

Dunno offhand . . . but I don't see why not. You might want to give the hospital a call, for they deal w/these issues all the time. At minimum, the person in charge of the paperwork for naming babies can refer you to the proper government agency.
Good luck & congrats on the birth of your soon-to-be child.
