Legal Question in Administrative Law in Illinois
It was my usual night off at work,I was put on the schedule as a fill in for someone and didn't know it..a coworker called me during the shift that night and asked are you on your way to work and I said I didn't know anything about it.I have to know ahead of time so I can arrange taking my daughter to a babysitter..she didn't say anything about me being on the schedule, she said she heard that I was filling in.So later on a day or two still during my time off because I worked certain days I called a coworker and asked if I was on schedule for that night and she said yes.I called my supervisor and asked if I was fired and she said come in and talk to me about it ...so I did and they fired me for a no call no show...I got unemployment and now the employer is fighting it..the employer said she didn't have my new number which was a lie,I gave it to her and it was on the contact list before any of this happened..can they win this appeal?

can they win the appeal, sure. Will they, sounds like you have a valid claim. If you have any doubts, you should hire a local attorney.
