Legal Question in Appeals and Writs in Illinois
Partition of Railroad Retirement Anuities
My ex and I were divorced in 1978. At that time there were no conditions where spouse could draw any anuities. Now the laws are changed and I have to file a partition and get a court order. My question is: if everything is agreeable between both parties, do lawyers have to be involved?

Re: Partition of Railroad Retirement Anuities
Hello. I suggests that you have your own lawyer. Imagine agreeing, only
to disagree before papers are signed.
Bring a lawyer to the table and then
you will be better protected. I will
be happy to discuss this further and in more detail.
