Legal Question in Banking Law in Illinois
Bad advice
Since my husband had recently passed away, I had gone to my financial advisor to get advise on paying a credit card off in my husbands name. The financial advisor explained that I absolutely had to pay off the balances (in excess of $5,000) even though there was no estate and there was no probate. I later (2 months later) discovered that I was in no way obligated to pay off that debt. I had contact my financial advisor about the situation with no avail. I would like to know what legal action I am able to take in order to retrieve my funds. Thank you.

Re: Bad advice
Why would you ask a financial adviser a legal question.
You can sue him and recover your funds.
