Legal Question in Banking Law in Illinois
Bank Stamp
If I deposit a check which I chose not to endorse for fear of rejection, and the bank stamped this check without my permission, am I still responsible for the check if it bounces? I never accepted legal responsibility by endorsing the check in the first place, so I don't feel they have a right to charge me a RDI fee..
