Deposits
Can my bank refuse to accept my wife's paychecks for deposit because she is not on the account, even though she writes ''pay to the order of'' myself? Thank you.

Yes. The bank has the right to prohibit the deposit of "third party checks," checks payable to a "third party," not an accountholder.
