Legal Question in Banking Law in Illinois
Endorsements
I hand wrote my corporations endorsement on the back of a check made out to my corporation. Then I wrote pay to the order of my name and signed it and wrote for deposit only to my personal account. The bank refused to take it. Why?

Re: Endorsements
Hello. Banks can be funny when it comes to
corporate endorsements. If you had a stamp of
the corporate name for the check endorsement, there probably would not have been a problem. With identity theft on the rise, it pays to use
a corporate seal for check endorsements anyway.
Will be happy to answer any additional questions
