Legal Question in Banking Law in Illinois
Is it legal for a bank to write a check from my account and write pre-authorized debit in the signature line becuase they say I signed the signature card for my account?

Hello. No. I do not think this is legal, if you did not specifically authorize the bank to do this. If this happened, you may be able to file a complaint with the Department of Financial Institutions.
You may be the victim of identity theft as well. Will be happy to discuss this further and in more detail.
