Names on bank accounts
If a person has someone else put on their savings and checking account incase there is an emergency and the owner of the account dies does the other person get all the money?

Hello. Yes, the other person added to the account is considered the sole surviving owner
of the account and takes all the funds. This
is strictly bank business and bypasses any will
since it amounts to a gift prior to the original
account holder's death. In this situation, heirs
of the original account holder cannot claim an interest in the account funds. I hope this answers your question fully.
