Adjudication and discharge in Bankruptcy

Adjudication of bankruptcy is no longer used in the bankruptcy code, what is the equivalent to adjudication and how does it differ from a discharge in bankruptcy?

Not sure as to your question, a "discharge of your debts" is what everyone wants, means the debts are off your back legally, being adjudicated bankrupt to me just means you have been found to have more debts then assets.
