Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Illinois
Went bankrupt. Lawyer included a fine I had from 2000. Now the court says I still owe the amount. Is the lawyer liable for my the restitution.

Your bankruptcy attorney made sure you complied with your sworn statement that you listed all of your liabilities. That does not mean every debt was dischargeable. You should, however, get back to your attorney to make sure you are being given correct information now. The local judge may or may not be correct.
