I am presently moving to Oregon and now live in illinois, i am looking to file bankruptcy, which state should i file in.

First, you would have to be a resident in Oregon for at least 90 days to file there per the Code. A consideration would be a comparison of the exemptions available to you in each state. After comparing and contrasting these exemptions, you could then make a logical decision as to what state to file in.
