Bankruptcy and Apartment Leasing
My husband and I will be filing bankruptcy by June. We will be locating to Chicago and will need to get an apartment, does bankruptcy hurt our chances of getting an apartment?

It depends on the owner(s) of the apartment complex. The decision to rent or give credit to an individual is a decision reserved to landlord or creditor, respectively.
With some landlords it will not matter, whereas with others it could be a significant factor. They may simply require a higher deposit.
