Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Illinois
Bankruptcy
My husband and I filed CH 13 a month ago. Now my attorney says the amount that I have to pay goes up $550 per mo from what was agreed on in the hearing. Nothing has changed, what are my rights? Can he do this?

Re: Bankruptcy
Without knowing the factors taken into account in determining this amount, there is no way to answer this question. I imagine what happened is the trustee or a creditor objected to the confirmation of your plan, you should ask your attorney why the payment is going up, there is likely an explanation for it. If there is no explanation for it, you might want to find yourself a new chapter 13 attorney.
