Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Illinois
bankruptcy
Iam married. Can I declare bankruptcy for myself only?
I owe credit cards and I don't think I'll ever be able to pay them off. It's approx. $90,000.00.

Re: bankruptcy
Yes, it is possible to file an individual bankruptcy.
The court will look at all of the household income and expenses though, even if just one was filing.
There could also be issues with cosigned debts together as well. I offer free consultations and would be happy to meet with you. Contact me at the info in my profile, and I'll be happy to give you a free consultation about the options available and how we can help you out.
