Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Illinois
Bankruptcy on Judgement
I have had this judgement since 3-3-1999, for the amount of$15,712.94. from providian credit card. I paid on it till I couldn't afford it. I paid$4,050. and the interest was 6,063. I figured I wasn't getting anywhere and they started garnishing my wages. I owe over 19,000 now. Can I file bankruptcy on this or what can I do.

Re: Bankruptcy on Judgement
Hi.
You may discharge that judgment in bankruptcy. As soon as the case is filed, we can stop any garnishments. Feel free to contact me and we'll be happy to give you a free consultation to discuss your options with bankruptcy. Thanks

Re: Bankruptcy on Judgement
Bankruptcy is an option. Bankruptcy applies to all debts you owe at the time of filing including judgments and collections.
I charge $1500 for chapter 7 for an individual. This includes all costs. I would need $1250 to start and the balance in 30 days.
Please call me for a free consultation.
