Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Illinois
I buught a new truck in 2007 with my girlfriend co-sighning for it I ended up filing chapter 7 but we decided to keep the truck. Several months later we decided we can't afford it we let it go now we are liable for the difference they coudn't get out of truck. Can she file chapter 7 and would that eliminate debt for me or will they come after me

Having your girlfriend file for Chapter 7 bankruptcy would not eliminate your debt only hers. She can file for chapter 7 if her income is less than the median income of a person in a similar economic bracket according to the IRS. This is called the means test, which I'm sure you're aware off, having gone through bankruptcy already. The best advice I can give would be to consider your other options to settle your debt rather than resorting straight to chapter 7 bankruptcy.
