Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Illinois
Chapter 13 and credit bureau reporting?
At what point does a Chapter 13 filing hit the credit bureaus - upon filing or at discharge? If I get a great job and decide to discontinue the Chapter 13 proceedings prior to a decision (discharge or dismissal) and pay my debts on my own, will the filing still be on my credit report?

Re: Chapter 13 and credit bureau reporting?
Unfortunately once you file, there is a public record of the Chapter 13. It will appear on you credit report.. There is a way at that point to have your bills reported as current. (if that is the case)
