Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Illinois

Chapter 13 filed by one domestic partner

My domestic partner of over 10 years is in the process of a Chapter 13 bankruptcy. My name is not on the mortgage or my partner's vehicle loan. What are my rights regarding disclosure of my income/lack of income/employer info to my partner's attorney, creditors and Trustee, and how will this affect my future credit?

Re: Chapter 13 filed by one domestic partner

Generally you are obligated to provide your income information and employer information if you living with someone and helping to support them. This is done to show the feasibility of ones Chapter 13 plan. As long as you have none of the same debts as your partner then this will have no future effect on your credit.
