Chapter 7 Schedules Acceptable Creditor Address
January 19, 2004
Bankruptcy Chapter 7, Schedule F (and others)
Creditor Address
On forms and schedules required to file for Chapter 7,
does the Bankruptcy Court accept a post office box as a valid creditor address?
e.g. ''The Big Bank'', PO Box 123, Anytown, Illinois, 66666
Thank you

Re: Chapter 7 Schedules Acceptable Creditor Address
Yes. To ensure the creditor receives proper notice, make sure it is an address where they receive correspondence (i.e. look on the back of the billing statement). If you send it to where you make payments, then the creditor may not receive notice as quickly. Sometimes the bill payment address is nothing more than a lockbox at a bank.
