child support
I receive child support payments directly deposited into my checking account...can a debt collector take from my child support? I am also currently unemployed.

Child support is generally not garnishable, but if you are not careful with direct deposit, I could see the bank paying the creditor. If that happens, you will have a bit of a headache getting the money back.
