once you consolidate your credit card debt, can you later on add them to a bankruptcy?

Yes. In the long run is is probably cheaper to file bankruptcy rather than go though the consolidation process.
Also, you can start building up your credit right away.

Yes, as long as you aren't trying to add it to a bankruptcy you filed prior to consolidation. Credit card debt doesn't stop being dischargeable solely from consolidating. However, if you use a home equity loan to consolidate, it will be secured by your house, in which case you'll still have to pay the loan in order to keep your house which would make filing bankruptcy disadvantageous in that scenario.

All debts can be included in a bankruptcy. If you are going to file, you should cancel the repayment program, be sure to list the consolidation company as well, in case they choose to hit you with a cancellation fee. Contact me if you would like a free consultation.
