Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Illinois
No creditors filed a claim in my Chapter 13 case.
My Illinois Chapter 13 case has been confirmed. The claims bar date is 4/2/2000. As of yet the Trustee or the Court have not received a filed claim from any listed creditor. Will the case be discharged immediately if no creditors file a claim? If the case is discharged will any of the listed creditors be able to persue payment again? What reason would a creditor have to not file a claim? Are there any recorded bankruptcy cases that address these questions? Thank You For Any and All Help That You May Be Able To Provide!

It is possible that a proof of claim will be filed before the bar date. It is not unusual to file a claim just prior to the expiration.
