Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Illinois
Discharged bankruptcy
We filed Chapter 7. One of the creditors, a jeweler contacted and requested payment or $400 a month or return of merchandise. Can they request any of that considering that they did not attend the creditors meeting or reaffirm the debt prior to discharge or can they even contact us now? Please advise. Thanks in advance.

Re: Discharged bankruptcy
No, they cannot come after you, they need to go through the trustee. How far along are you in the bankruptcy process? Feel free to call us if you want to talk about the specifics.
