Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Illinois
I filed bankruptcy in 2008. A creditor failed to bill timely and they were omitted from the filing. They are now trying to collect. Am I obligated to pay them or are they covered by the bankruptcy due to their bad billing practices?

In Illinois there is case law called Mendiola Law that covers the discharge of this debt. Make sure your credit report is showing this debt is discharged as well.
