What are my legal rights if someone filed a judgment against me?

Since your question was in the bankruptcy area I will assume you are wondering what effect bankruptcy will have on the judgment. In almost every instance a Chapter 7 bankruptcy will wipe out the judgment. A Chapter 13 bankruptcy may wipe out all or at least a portion of the judgment. It really depends on the nature of the judgement and your financial status.

In GENERAL, filing a consumer bankruptcy case will extinguish MOST judgments.
