mcan my former landlord have my security deposit discharged

Do you mean the landlord filed bankruptcy? Where do you live? Many cities. villages have ordinances that require the landlord to put the deposit into an escrow account. If you do, and he did not he has violated his fiduciary duty and your right to the deposit may not be discharged. you might also use the "self-help" method of not paying your last month's rent, if he has violated the law.
