Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Illinois

money owed from deceased estate sale

my family hired (under a contract)a person to perform a estate sale in december/2003 after the death of our mother.

all personal, household, ect, ect items were sold in a three day sale.

we had to liquidate moms belongings ONLY for the reason of bill paying.

after she took her agreed upon percentage off the top,she has bounced every check since.

we allowed her ample time to pay us,however she bounced three checks again.

after having to file a petition to recover assests, she filed for chapter 13 last month.

this woman took advantage of grieving family/stole almost 10k.we do have an attorney, however second and third opinions never hurt!

she has other businesses making profit, and does estate sales every week.

she contacted our attorney just days before filing to inquire about payment without court.

our council e-mailed itemizing the debt owed, fees, ect.

although days later filed chapter 13 before new law went into effect!

my family is just devastated and concerned after trusting this person, and need more advice on moving forward and getting this money contracted/itemized owed to moms estate?

we have every item she sold/price with contract/balance!

thanks to all attorneys for your time/help!

In my view, it is not ethical to render an opinion at a time that your are prespresented by other counsel.
