Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Illinois
Repeat Bankruptcy
Can a person/married couple file for bankruptcy more than once? We previously had a bankruptcy in January 1993 but find ourselves in financial trouble once again. Can we file for bankruptcy a second time?

Re: Repeat Bankruptcy
If you filed under Ch. 7, you must wait six years. It appears you are beyond that time limit now. So, yes, you can do a second filing.
