Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Illinois
My sister filed bankruptcy. She is the executor of my mother's estate. Can a judge take my mother's house and offer us 3 other siblings less than what the house is worth? He wants to take it and sell it out from under us because of my sister's bankruptcy? There has been a lot of work done to the house and the price the judge is offering won't even let us recuperate from the repairs that were done. Is this legal?

it is legal, but you might be better off buying your sister's interest, if the amount is so low.
