Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Illinois
Small Claims and Bankruptcy
How can I file a small claims suit against someone in Illinois so that the person cannot claim bankruptcy on the awarded amount if I win judgement against them? Is there a certain wording that I use? Thank you.

Re: Small Claims and Bankruptcy
There are judgments that are not dischargeable in bankruptcy. I suspect, that because of the "small claims" nature of your claim, that it would in all probability, be dischargeable. Why don't you speak to a lawyer in your locale? A consultation fee with that individual would probably be less than a filing fee. Good Luck
