Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Illinois
My son was in the Air Force. While serving, they made a mistake, overpaying him by approximately 11,000 dollars. Having enlisted right out of high school, he had little if any money budgeting sense. He checked his balance on his direct deposit account and if there was money he spent it never even bothering to balance it. Is this debt discharged on chapter 7 if he were to file?
