Spousal liability in personal bankruptcy.
Is my spouse's income relevant in my personal bankruptcy and will she be liable?

Your spouse's income is factored into what is called the means test, where the household income is compared to the IRS standards for your household size. Also, you have to disclose his monthly income and expenses to see if you have any money left at the end of the month. This will determine whether you need to file chapter 7 or chapter 13.
