Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Illinois
Transfer Chapter 13
My wife and I filed for Chapter 13 in November 2005. We have since moved to the Chicago are and would like to know if we can transfer to Federal Court and a new lawyer here - even if that might involve additional fees - to avoid having to travel back to Tulsa in 2009. Besides gas, lodging and food we would need to make arrangements for our 4 kids to stay here. Also wondering if we can pay the balance off early.
