Legal Question in Business Law in Illinois
affiliate programs
I just started a work at home program where I market a product for a company then get paid a commission when a successful sell is transacted. Would I be liable if the person whom I brought in to purchase the product never receives it, but has paid the for it?

Re: affiliate programs
Possibly, depending on how the transaction is structured. There are a lot of questions an attorney would have before he or she could give you any kind of useful answer. Is the customer paying you directly? Are you representing to them that you are selling the item? Are they dealing directly with the seller? If you are aware they are not going to get the item, but you recommend that they buy it anyway, you could be liable for fraud or even conspiracy claims.
