Legal Question in Business Law in Illinois

Auto insurance

My daughter applied for auto insurance. The company she chose was the lowest quote and she went with them. After two weeks she got a letter saying that she needed to have a membership in another organization, not told about before and costing $25.00, or she was informed that she will not be able to renew her insurance when it becomes due in 6 months. Is this legal for them to inform her of this membership after the auto policy was agreed upon at a certain price and no mention of this membership was made previously. She does not have a lot of money and $25.00 is a great hardship to her.

Re: Auto insurance

I would hazard a guess that it is in the "fine print" of the documents she signed when she obtained the insurance. As long as her insurance is more than $25 less than the next best quote, she is still paying less than she would otherwise.
