Legal Question in Business Law in Illinois
My boss owes me $6000
I had a summer internship for 3 months from 6/00-8/00, and was never paid for the last 2 months. I am owed $6000. I also was promised stock options that never came through. I left the company at the end of the internship. 1. Is it too late to sue? 2. I am afraid the owner of the company will outwit me if I do, because he's a lawyer and a very very smart guy (though unethical). What should I do to recover the money?

Hire a lawyer. Your salary and possibly your stock option are still valid. It might be hard to prove the stock option depending on the circumstances. You need a lawyer.
