Legal Question in Business Law in Illinois
I bought a new truck in september of 2010. The company called my previous finance company and got a pay off quote of 7000. In January of 2011 I started to receive calls from a collection agency that was telling me that I needed to pay an additional 714.00 dollars because the previous company would not send the title because the 7000 wasnt enough. I do believe that issue should have been resolved before they let me drive off the lot, not 3 months later. Do I have to pay the additional money. The company already paid the extra money and sold the truck that I traded in.
