Legal Question in Business Law in Illinois
My company is closing my store and there are no other stores in my area that need a manager. I am going to have to leave and get severance pay. I just found out a position for manager us opening and I would take it. If they don't offer it to me is that legal?

Unless you have an employment or union contract that says otherwise, or if they did not offer it to you based on your membership in a protected class, such as your race, national origin, gender, etc., yes, it likely is legal.
