Legal Question in Business Law in Illinois
conflict of interest
My husband owns a packaging firm and I work for a competitor. Is my part-time employment for the competitor a conflict of interest. I do not have any part of the decision making for this employer. I do clerical accounting. I also do not have anything to do with my husbands packaging company.

Re: conflict of interest
Unless your employer has some objection to the arrangement, there is nothing wrong with it.

A conflict of interest in what sense? Who has raised this issue? There's nothing to preclude you from working for a competitor of your husband's company.
