Construction Contract - Binding signitures of two homeowners
I live in Illinois. My wife signed a contract with construction firm for a new roof based on insurance claim approval. The person who drew up the agreement no longer works for the company. I am afraid we may not be treated fairly by the next representative. The question is: Since we both own the home and only my wife signed the contract, do I have an out if we decide we are not being treated fairly.

Re: Construction Contract - Binding signitures of two homeowners
Generally, when a contract is signed only the parties signing the contract are bound by the terms of the contract.
As in anything there can be exceptions but it depends on the situation.
