When a contract is signed between companies, who signs the agreement? Does it need to be an officer of the company?

A company's organization documents (bylaws, minutes, operatimg agreement, and so forth,)should set forth who is authorized to sign contracts for the company. I advise all of my new clients who form corporations or LLC's to sign all company contacts with the full legal name of the company . . .By: Joh Doe, President, if the company has authorized John Doe to do so. BTW, it does not necessarily require signature by the President or evn officer so long as the person signing has been properly authorized to do so.
