If a (consumer) minor 18 years of age or younger, signs a business contract for service is this valid? Shouldn't the consumer be over 18 years of age to make this contract valid?

Generally, minors are not liable on their contracts, except contracts for necessities, such as food, clothing, shelter, and necessary medical services. "Business contracts," it would seem, are not for necessities.
