Legal Question in Business Law in Illinois
Corporate Shareholder
I am a 50% Shareholder in a relatively small C-Corporation in Illinois. My partner (other 50% shareholder) holds all the book and records. How do I make an official request to get a copy of all financial records and documents that involve me and the corporation?

Re: Corporate Shareholder
The requirements are set forth in Section 5/7.75(b) of the Business Corporation Act of 1983, 805 ILCS § 5/7.75. Or, if you prefer, you can have an experienced attorney make the demand for you.
