Employee walks from job without notice over pay dispute -- What is the employers option in office involving four employees?

Unless there is a contract provision to the contrary, the employee is not obligated to provide notice that he or she is quitting. Similarly, unless there is a contract provision to the contrary, you are not obligated to provide notice that you are firing someone.
