Legal Question in Business Law in Illinois
The General Business License Law for Illinois. If I have a home based business that only sells at Craft shows and on the Internet and dont have customers coming to my house do I still have to apply for the license. I do not have a storefront or a place to sell from.

If your home is also your "home office" and/or primary place of business, you will need to have the applicable business licenses and tax reporting numbers. Otherwise, there is no such thing as a "general business license" for the State of Illinois - instead you are supposed to apply for business tax numbers for tax reporting purposes. And it also depends on whether you are doing so in your own name or in the name of a corporation, LLC or other business "entity".
